South Carolina is a Republican stronghold, and Senator Lindsey Graham, who was endorsed by President Trump, is among the most prominent incumbents running for re-election in this cycle. Despite that, there is some action to watch in the Republican primary. Mark Lynch, a local businessman whom Trump called a “lunatic”, is challenging Graham, describing him as “the farthest thing from MAGA.” Paul Dans, the former director of Project 2025 who was also in the running, dropped out on April 10 and endorsed Lynch.
