Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif Calls for Support for Kashmiris in Maiden Parliamentary Address

New Delhi: In his first speech after being elected by parliament, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that the national assembly had to pass a resolution in support of Kashmiris – and Palestinians, while assailing the international community for its silence.

“Let’s all come together […] and the National Assembly should pass a resolution for the freedom of Kashmiris and Palestinians,” he said, as quoted by Dawn.

Last time, the Indian Prime Minister had greeted Shehbaz Sharif with a tweet after he became prime minister…
