Japan has donated Maldives disaster management equipment worth USD 4.3 million (MVR 66 million).
The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) stated that as part of the first stage of the agreement that was signed on 24th March 2026 in regards to societal and business growth, Japan has donated Maldives 40 fire pumps, 40 water pumps for drainage and relevant equipment totaling USD 4.3 million.
